One of the most important techniques you will ever learn on the mandolin is how to play “double stops” (also called intervals), which is when you play two strings together to create a sweet harmony. In this massive lesson we cover the keys of G, C, D, A and F, as well as the relative minors of Em, Am, Db and Dm. You will also learn three different ways to play each key, one for each set of strings. These positions are great for Tremolo playing (for more on that see our Tremolo lesson HERE), as well as crosspicking and playing over chords in a jam. And next to each position we show you what chord you can play it over, so you will be ready for that next pickin party!
