Description
A good 75 percent of ukulele music is “chord melody”, where the player plays in a solo style and combines the melody of the song with chords. Although this is of course a wonderful approach, it also has some limitations. For example if you were to show up to a sing-along, you will need to accompany the other players as they contribute their song (usually Wagon Wheel). And playing chord-melody style is often too busy and can clutter up the jam, so it is wise to know some additional approaches. This is where a good understanding of “finger picking” can be extremely helpful. In other words, anyone can strum along with the chords, but it is another level to be able to play finger-picked patterns along with the progression. This lesson will give you all the basics you need to play finger-style uke, including the theory of arpeggios, proper fingering, and a half dozen study pieces to play along with. Take your ukulele to the next level with this milestone lesson…
