This timeless song was written by Leonard Cohen and released in 1984 on his album Various Positions, but gained greater popularity after being performed by John Cale and Jeff Buckly. Then in 2001 as the sound track for Shrek it skyrocketed to legendary status, and has been around ever since. This easy mandolin arrangement coveys the emotion of the song with simple double stops and some tremolo, and includes a beautiful piano backing track to make learning exciting and enjoyable!
