What, me compose?! Yes, we know that the word “composing” conjures images of poofy-haired old men, writing music with quill pens by candle light. But there is another approach to writing music, where you can be playing your own songs in a matter of hours. And you don’t need to know how to read music or understand music theory… all you need is your instrument, and something to play music on. That’s it! In this class you will learn the tricks of “hearing” melodies and finding them on your instrument. We will send you “jump start” audio tracks to play along with, that will inspire your inner composer, and our instructor will demonstrate creating melodies in front of your ears so you can see exactly how it’s done.
